Our Mission

Develop a fundamental understanding of the underlying materials science– processing–property relationships that enable on-demand manufacturing of resilient and lightweight structures in space. The center will bring together faculty from multiple departments in the Grainger College of Engineering and across campus to broaden our nationwide visibility in the field of space materials and structures and respond to growing interest in space systems among GCOE students.
